Lead Software Architect (m/f/d) – Product & Innovation Focus

As Lead Software Architect, you will be responsible for the technical development of our product portfolio. You will ensure that our software solutions are high-quality, maintainable, regulatory resilient (e.g. Cyber Resilience Act) and at the same time innovative and efficient to develop further.

You set technological guard rails, make directional decisions with vision and translate new technologies – especially AI – into sustainable added value for our products. You combine stability with the courage to embrace change and are able to make decisions, prioritize and communicate clearly – even in the face of uncertainty.

In close cooperation with the management, product management and the CTOs of the Group, you provide our teams with orientation, security and energy in complex issues.

Your tasks & responsibilities

• Architecture & technology orientation
  • Responsibility for architectural principles and technological coherence across multiple products
  • Ensuring maintainability, quality, scalability and long-term developability
  • Evaluation of architecture decisions, technology deployment and long-term technical impact
  • Conscious balance between further development, stability and technical complexity

• Innovation & AI as a design mandate
  • Identification, evaluation and prioritization of specific AI use cases in existing and new products
  • Translation of technological trends into architectural decisions, product ideas and technical roadmaps
  • Development and establishment of AI guidelines and scalable architecture approaches
  • Active role as a driver and multiplier for innovation – you actively shape future topics instead of just managing existing solutions

• Regulatory resilience & speed
  • Consideration of regulatory requirements (e.g. Cyber Resilience Act) as a design framework for architecture and product decisions
  • Development of solutions in which security, compliance and high implementation speed are considered together
  • Integration of security, updatability, documentation and quality by design, not as a downstream obligation

• Technical Leadership & Communication
  • Sparring partner for management, product management, architects and development teams
  • Communicating complex technical contexts in an understandable, prioritized form
  • Creating clarity and security for abstract or new topics
  • Coaching & mentoring of architects with a focus on responsibility, decision-making skills and communication
  • Technical representation of BAYOOSOFT internally and externally (e.g. technical contributions, presentations, exchange formats)

  • Clear focus on product development
  • Evaluation of customer-specific requirements with regard to reusability, scaling and sustainable mapping in the product portfolio
  • Classification of customer-specific contexts where strategically relevant impulses arise from them
  • Assuming responsibility where it is necessary for stability and further development – with the aim of anchoring this sustainably in the teams

• Several years of experience as a software architect with responsibility for complex systems or product portfolios
• Very good understanding of modern software architectures, development processes and quality requirements
• Experience in the use of AI technologies in software products (conceptual and/or practical)
• Understanding of security-by-design approaches and regulatory frameworks
• Very good knowledge of German and English
